Michael Fietsam has some 25 years experience in the hotel, food and beverage and casino industry. He has an outstanding mix of private sector experience in the operations, management and control of a wide variety of venues. He is a hands-on operator whose experience includes top level management positions in such industry leaders as Marriott, Le Meridien, Starwood, Tarsadia and KSL.
He was an integral team member in the opening and operation of the 250 million dollar Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa in Southern California as well as the 50 million dollar redesign of the Le Meridien property in Palm Springs.
His biggest strength is in his team-building skills. Through the years he has developed many techniques that have proven quite valuable in boosting the morale and productivity of the team.
Fietsam began his career in Restaurant Management but since has gained valuable experience in all aspects of hotel and casino operations. He is well versed in many POS systems including, Micros, Infogenesis, Win-Easy, Orion, Spasoft, LMS, Easybar, Bartech, Delphi and Aloha. He has the ability to assess what needs to be accomplished with each project and complete it without hindering the daily operations or alienating any member of the team.
